Today's Appointment

The little stinker was sleeping until the doctor "buzzed" him.

The nurse put Holly on a fetal monitor for about 10-15 minutes before Dr. Jones came in. Her doctor agreed with Dr. Levine about the amniocentesis. She does encourage us to do it so that we can determine if his lungs are mature. I want Holly to do it, and I think she's convinced herself to do it.

The procedure will be done on the visit this Thursday during her regular appointment with the specialist. If they are mature, the cesarian (c-section) will be done either this Friday, or next Monday. If they are not, my guess is that they'll do another amniocentesis next Thursday.

I'm hoping they are mature. Of course because I want to see my son, but also so my wife doesn't have to go through much more.
